Damage to goods
Please check as soon as possible
Make sure to check your goods when you receive them at the port and make a note of the damage on the delivery receipt.
Always make sure that you check your goods for possible damage when you get them home – there may be damage that is not visible on delivery. You only have three days (according to the Danish Maritime Code) to report the damage to Royal Arctic Line.
Therefore, unpack your goods and check them as soon as you have received them.
The reason for having a few days to report damage is that the longer it takes before the damage is reported, the more difficult it is to determine whether it is transport damage. In order to investigate the cause of the damage, it is therefore important that the report is submitted as soon as possible.
If your goods have been damaged, you must complete a damage claim form, which you can find here. The damage claim form contains instructions on what to do.
