How do I send hunting trophies to Denmark?
Untanned skins from hoofed and cloven-hoofed animals as well as birds intended for taxidermy must be accompanied by an original certificate of health issued by the Greenlandic authorities/veterinarians. In addition, a CVED (EU documentation: Common Veterinary Entry Document) must be issued for veterinary control purposes.

Who may receive hunting trophies in Denmark?
A consignee of skins and hunting trophies must be registered as an importer with the local Food Control Unit (DVFA). You can read more about being registered as an importer at Virk.dk or contact the Danish Business Authority, telephone. + 45 35 29 10 00.
Export of endangered animals
Untanned skins from polar bears and other endangered species must be accompanied by a CITES import/export permit and a CVED for veterinary control purposes. You can read more about how to obtain a CITES permit on the Danish Nature Agency homepage or you can apply for a permit at the Department of Fishing, Hunting and Agriculture.
Shipment of whale bones
Whale bones must be accompanied by an original CITES import/export permit and a CVED for veterinary control purposes.
Shipment of fox and hare skins
For shipment of untanned fox and hare skins, only a CVED for veterinary control purposes is required.
Shipment of antlers and bones of reindeer and musk-oxen
Antlers and bones of hoofed and cloven-hoofed animals must be accompanied by an original certificate of health issued by the Greenlandic authorities/veterinarians.
Transport of hunting trophies in Denmark
Royal Arctic Line can arrange transport of hunting trophies in Denmark, but only directly to the consignee, because refrigerated warehouses in Denmark do not accept hunting trophies.
What costs are involved in shipment of hunting trophies?
Sea freight is payable for shipment of hunting trophies. In addition, there are the following costs:
